Saturday

I did my appeal for unemployment yesterday over the phone.  I'll receive a determination letter in the mail.  I don't know how it will go.  The woman I spoke with was not encouraging.  The purpose of this hearing was to determine the timeliness of my appeal.  If it is determined that I filed in a timely manner, then there will have to be another hearing to determine if benefits should be awarded. 

I also had a doctor visit yesterday.  The doctor's office has been moved so that you no longer have to sit in the hospital clinic waiting room with 100 other people.  His office is in a separate portable building.  The visit was quite, with the ususal test procedures to be scheduled.  The doctor took my blood pressure, asked me a few questions, said he was going out to write some presciptions, and would be back.  That's the last time I saw him. 

I changed the zoom on my internet screen so that it zoomed out, but didn't realize that I had done that.  I thought it was something that I had done with font size at the computer level (rather than "Page" on the internet toolbar) that changed what I was seeing when I got onto the net.  So, it took me a little while to figure out how to fix the very tiny print I saw, especially since I had to restart my computer every time I changed something at the computer level.  Oh, well, live and learn.

I didn't work today.  Had I stayed in admin, I would have worked a short day on Friday and worked Saturday.  But transferring to production, I didn't have to work a short day.  It's good to have a day off.
