I have managed to keep up the good order, and this weekend I plan to complete straightening up my bedroom. I'm keeping the kitchen immaculate; clean up is immediate. I have a great incentive for keeping the kitchen clean - fire ants. Any spot or film of grease left behind attracts them. I have found that windex not only clean off grease from surfaces, but also kills the ants, so if I've missed a spot, I can clean and get rid of the ants at the same time. A few days ago, I found them back in my cabinet where I keep my canned goods. It took me a while to see what they were after. The source of the attraction? A stick of shortening.
Also on the agenda for this weekend is mowing the yard and paperwork.
I added the storm tracker widget to keep abreast of developments in the gulf in case I miss the news. You never know when one might flare up. I've changed the source to NOAA. I like this one better; you can click on a link to take you to their website for more information.
By the way, I'm still eating tomatoes. I have 2 left. I have enjoyed them very much.
CONGRATULATIONS ON KEEPING UP WITH THE GETTING IN ORDER AND READY TO MOVE. I know that can be a daunting task and easy to put off. Glad you enjoyed the vegetables. Here the garden has been hard work; we have picked tomatoes by the bucket on two occasions; have canned 8 quarts and 8 pints this week. Picked more purple hull peas and the last of the green beans. Saved the peas and beans for Carla. She is supposed to come today to pick up her shrimp. Have pulled up the corn and beans, now ready to plant more okra where the corn was and replant the beans, hopefully will get one more crop. Have you heard from Tammy about evacuating together? Let me know your plans.
ReplyDeleteI see the neurosurgeon on Monday; will know the results of the myelogram then.
Keep up the good work.
Chester went to Homer's today so I get a day alone, the first in several weeks. Really needed it.
