It's a Big Girl Day

It's a rainy day again.  I guess we were due for such a day; it's been over a week since my yard has flooded!  I don't remember a winter so wet as this one, where my yard floods again before it has dried out from the last rain.

Today, I feel like I'm taking the first step back into what is a normal way of life.  Between running errands, making sure I am ready for work on Monday, and completing my assignment for Jeremy, my counselor, I have plenty to do.  It's time to seriously use the tools I learned in WRAP in order to get everything done.  Otherwise, I will get too excited to accomplish much of anything.  Instead, I'll wind up spending my time thinking about doing, and I'll end the day just about where I started it.  Once, I used WRAP tools to just get through a day; now, I can use them to build a life that's rich and meaningful, one day at a time, like a big girl.  In other words, like a grown-up.  That's the plan, anyway.

My assignment from Jeremy will require a lot of time and effort, and I'm keeping it a secret for now.  Yes, I know I said no secrets.  I'm making an exception in this case for now.  I will reveal my assignment when I have completed it.  You'll just have to wait a couple of weeks.  I hope it will be worth the wait.  We'll see.

  1. I have one more assignment for you; plot out when you get your unemployment checks and when you get your first census pay and hold out enough money to carry you.

    Congratulations on the employment!
