That Gracilis Really Hurts (Or Was It the Adductor Longus?)

I'm feeling calmer this morning.  I'm not so keyed up.  The trick will be to stay calm.  I had a hard time getting anything done yesterday because I couldn't calm down enough to focus.  It is so hard for me to be enthusiastic without getting over-excited.  I become like an excited dog, running around in circles, until I wear myself out.  Today I'm more chilled out, like this guy.  Well, maybe not quite that relaxed.

Have you ever gotten a muscle cramp in your inner thigh?  I did, last night.  I've had muscle cramps before, but they've been in my calf or foot, not my inner thigh.  And I never thought I was going to die from one, either.  Okay, here's the story.  I was sitting on the couch and stretching out my leg when the cramp hit.  Now, walking is a good way to relieve a muscle cramp in your calf or foot, but, apparently, it does not help an inner thigh cramp.  Squatting and bending over does.  I walked into the kitchen, stopping every few feet to squat and bend.  I expected it to get better, but it kept getting worse.  I made it to a chair at the kitchen table and sat.  I began to feel nauseous and then light-headed.  I wanted to put my head down toward my knees, but I was afraid I would fall out of the chair, so I put my head down on the table.  For a moment, I thought maybe I was dying.  But it finally eased up and then went away, and I went off to bed without further incident.  Feeling fine this morning.  Am optimistic for a good day.  And the sun is shining!  Yea!  Geaux, Saints!
To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.  ~~Jim Valvano

  1. My thigh muscle cramps are always in the back of my leg. It is interesting how one can go for months/years without such a cramp then it hits like lightening. Worst pain in the world for a short time.
