It's Superbowl Day!

Oh, yes, before I forget again.  I did not report my weight yesterday.  It was 275, same as the week before.  In five weeks, I've lost four pounds.  Not stellar results.

Tomorrow I go to work for the first time in 253 days.  Yea!  But first, there is another big event looming on the horizon.

The Saints play in the Superbowl today for the first time in their 44 year history.  It took them 21 years to have a winning season , and 34 years to win their 200th game and to win a play-off game.  Oh, my goodness.  Which is my way of saying, "Hell, yeah, this is a big deal.  Pooh Yi!  Geaux, Saints!  Beat them Colts!  Who Dat??"  Even the birds are celebrating.  They are singing like mad this morning.  The sun is shining, and it's a beautiful day.

I used to watch the Saints play and lose week after week with my dad.  He never saw them have a winning season.  But he never missed watching a game.  I imagine that there are a lot of fans out there, thinking of their fathers who have passed, and the time they spent together watching the Saints play.  Can't you just imagine the gumbo and jambalaya cook-offs going on up in heaven?

WHO DAT??!!
