Superbowl Champion Saints

How about those Superbowl Champion Saints?  Let me say that again - Superbowl Champion Saints.  It's been a very long time coming.  Here in Lake Charles, fans filled the parking lot at Academy right after the game, waiting to get Saints Superbowl merchandise.  They were entertained by the McNeese University band.  It was a big party, although it paled in comparison to the celebration going on in New Orleans, of course. 

Schools are closed in New Orleans today, and KPLC has been getting calls asking if there will be school in Calcasieu Parish.  I don't think all of those calls were from students, either....

I went to the grocery store yesterday around 4:30.  I figured it would be a good way to keep myself occupied before the game started.  I assumed there wouldn't be many shoppers, being so close to game time.  To my surprise, the store was crowded with people buying game day foods.  How could I tell it was for the game and not just a regular grocery shopping trip?  The massive amounts of ice, beer, and junk food.  I think I was the only one with vegetables in my cart.

I woke up with an alarm clock this morning.  It is such a rude way to wake up.  I definitely prefer waking up naturally.  If I could be sure I'd wake up in time to go to work, I'd never set an alarm clock again. 

That's right, I'm going to work today.  Wish me luck.
