It is so good to be up at my ususal time this morning. I've been sleeping late, and I've had to cut short my morning routine. A shortened morning routine, and not feeling 100%, have combined to get my off my game a little. I haven't been really sick, just not totally well. Woke up with a cough this morning. Since today is jean day, and I'll be wearing tennis shoes and socks, I think I use a little Vicks on my feet this morning.
I am still feeling special with my new fridge. It's still exciting to get crushed ice from the door, and to always have room for everything. Want to hear a funny? When I had my mini fridge, the only frozen vegetable I bought was okra. When I went grocery shopping to take advantage of my full-sized fridge, I bought extra okra, but didn't think about the fact that I could buy other frozen vegetables as well. I bought canned instead! That was Sunday, and I haven't had to go to the grocery store since. That's been nice. And, I've whipped up a tasty supper in 10 minutes using ingredients I'd prepared beforehand and froze. That was awesome. This weekend, I plan to cook for the week and made frozen lunches and dinners for myself. I'm looking forward to continuing experimenting with the herbs and spices Queenie sent to me. The 10 minute supper I cooked this week used cumin and sage in a chicken and rice dish. It was delicious and a nice change from my usual style of cooking.
Well, it's 6:30, time to get a move on. Woohoo, it's Friday!
