I'm looking forward to the weekend. I got sick a couple of weeks ago, and I worked last Saturday, so this feels like the first regular weekend I've had in a while. I hope this beautiful weather lasts. It's wonderful.
I've gotten calls from one of the peer counselor's from Lake Charles Mental Health, checking in on me to see how I've been doing. I thought it was so sweet of her to think about me and give me a call. Then, I happened to be on break one day when she called, so I was able to chat with her on the phone. That is when I found out that it was part of her job to call, and she was going down a list of names. She hurried up and ended the conversation so she could continue down the list. I had assumed that she had thought, "I wonder how Victoria is doing. I think I'll give her a call." The phone calls seemed more personal before I found out otherwise. On the other hand, it's nice to know that I am on a list, and to know that I'll get a call every week.
Well, it's about that time - time to get ready for work.
