Recap

Okay, I'm sitting down for some serious blog time this morning.  I haven't written much lately.  Being without my meds for a week and getting sick at the same time did not make a great combination.  Last week was a week of getting through each day.  Finding something to do at work every day was a challenge.  Hearing other people chat all day long was another.  There are some things I really don't want to know about other people!

It felt like the week would never end.  I worked on Saturday, which helped my hours from being too short (missed work on Monday, and was sent home early one other day), but the week felt like it would never end.  Once I got home on Saturday, though, I didn't do anything the rest of the weekend, just rested.  I think that was what I needed more than anything else.  I'm feeling much better now.

It was a matter of just getting through each day last week.  My mood was FLAT and I was worn out.  This week has been better - I mowed the yard Monday and cooked yesterday.  While I cooked last week, my efforts were quick and easy - whatever I could put together without too much effort.  Last night I gave my cooking more attention, chopping up onions, celery and bell pepper.  It was so pleasing to see the colors of the green celery and red bell pepper together in the pan, and good to spend time with food prep.

Easter week and spring break had a profound effect on work.  Things are beginning to pick up a little, but a whole slew of people were sent home at 10 o'clock yesterday with instructions to call in at 4:30 to see if they could come in today.  I should be fairly secure with getting my hours in, but we'll see.  It will really be tough on a lot of people if they continue to cut hours.  There aren't many other job offers out there right now.

Well, it is time to get ready for work.
