It's Spring

Most of the time these days, I wake up early and am ready to get up.  But occasionally, like today, I could easily hit the snooze button and go back to sleep.  Knowing that I have this blog to write is what gets me out of bed on such mornings.  It's a great bonus.

Now that my mind is working better, I've stopped making to-do lists.  That's a mistake.  Although I don't need the level of detail that I used before, I still need to have a list.  It helps me get things done.  Daddy said he had champagne tastes on a beer budget.  Well, I have champagne dreams on beer abilities.  I have a problem starting small.  For example, years ago, I decided to learn to knit.  Did I start with something small and simple?  No, I did not.  I decided to make a vest for Mama.  It wasn't the most complicated thing I could have chosen, but it would have been better if I had done something simpler at the beginning.  After completing the front half, which was the more difficult part, I dropped some stitches on the back half, and never could get it right.  I left it incomplete, and that was the end of my knittinig adventure.

  1. Trust me. It has to be on a list at this household or it does not get done. We always have several going; a to do list for the Prince, a walmart shopping list, an HEB shopping list, and a hardware, parts, etc list for the prince. Notice I do not have a to do list. That is because I do not like the committment to doing things at any given time. But if I did not have the Prince, I would have to.
