I weighed 273 this morning, down 2 pounds. My 2-pound weight loss was a good side effect of working. I didn't have unlimited food around me all day long. Otherwise, I've eaten whatever I've wanted. I've just avoided junk food. Except for tortilla chips. I don't think I can give those up!
I transferred back to the recruiting boat from the payroll boat yesterday. Employment at payroll will last longer than at recruiting, and if there is an opportunity to move to payroll when recruiting winds down, I'll do that. But recruiting is a much friendlier and more relaxed place. The air is warmer back in the payroll boat, but the atmosphere is colder.
Okay, so I made it through my first week. Life is good. Now, if it will just STOP RAINING. I want to try my hand at a garden, but it's too swampy to do anything right now.
The secret to my success was that somehow I always managed to live to fly another day. ~~Chuck YeagerHappy birthday, Chuck Yeager!
Congratulations on the first week! Chester agrees with you that you do not want to work in quality control. They do not have any work for him now; he worked some hours last week but not full time.
ReplyDeleteI know you are anxious to do a garden; and you do need to start preping early and you cannot do it when it is too wet. Try to get some help when it dries out. Maybe Lois can help you get someone.
I wanted to trim back my herbs today, but it is too early. Need to wait a few more weeks. We are having a sunny day today (finally) so we automatically want to do those things.
