Week Two

I haven't had any time to reflect on my first week of work.  I managed to write short recaps of my days, but that was about all.  It's now 9:25 Sunday night.  The kitchen is clean, and lunch is in the fridge, ready to be packed up in the morning.  I've got enough food on hand for the week, and enough clothes to last through Wednesday.  I'll need to tackle laundry during the week.  But all in all, I feel pretty good about my readiness for the week.

Not everything has gone smooth, however.  I got in a hurry to bake some muffins.  I added too much oil and forgot to add the applesauce.  I couldn't figure out why the batter was so thick.  It was only when I realized that there wasn't enough batter to fill all the cups that I figured out what I had done.  In the end, they came out okay.  Not my best, but they'll do.

Now, in the grand scheme of things, slight baking mishaps are not such a big thing.  We all make missteps.  But it's an indicator of the way I can act thoughtlessly sometimes.  It's something for me to be aware of.
