Dx

Queenie asks how I feel about the diagnosis.  I'm not sure which one I was given, but I'll start with schizoid personality disorder.
Schizoid personality disorder is a condition in which people avoid social activities and consistently shy away from interaction with others.  People with the disorder are generally loners with a profound inability to connect with others and form personal relationships.
To others, people with schizoid personality disorder may appear aloof, dull or humorless, and they're often ignored in social settings.  People with schizoid personality disorder show a flattened or restricted range of emotions, and can appear indifferent to what's going on around them.  However, their inner life can be rife with a deep emotional need, sensitivity and confusion about the world around them.
I think it's a pretty good description.  Looking at the symptoms, I find that most, if not all, fit.  I'd like to go into greater detail, but I'm running out of time here.  I've got to prepare lunch and dinner before going off to work.  And I heard from Dr. Waggoner.  He's upped my prescription for Celexa, so I'm going to pick up my new prescription before work.

I woke up at 3 o'clock this morning and could not go back to sleep for a couple of hours, then slept quite late.  I hate it when that happens.

  1. wow - you have a Dr that follows up. Hope you like him and he stays a while.

BTW: My sleep pattern last night was exactly like yours.

    See you Saturday

  2. Yes, I think I will like him. BTW, there were lots of people at work who had the same problem sleeping all night.
